Folliero's

Italian Food & Pizza

03

Established in 1968, Folliero’s has been a Highland Park favorite for many years. The Folliero family opened the restaurant almost 40 years ago and they still run the business today. Tony Folliero, the original founder and owner, comes in every single morning to make the pizza dough himself and there’s this legend among those who live in Highland Park that he is the only one who knows the recipe and comes in early every morning to keep it a secret. Folliero’s menu includes the obligatory spaghetti, lasagna, and pizza, but at surprising low prices. The family-run restaurant is cash only, but large pizzas average just $10 for a huge portion. The medium pizzas are the size of most restaurant’s larges, as they feed three people easily. Regulars crowd together in lines, especially on Saturdays, but for many the wait is worth it. Folliero’s is a legacy, as multiple generations of Highland Park families have spent family dinners or Saturday lunches here.
