Established in 1857 as an Italian grocery store, Galco’s shelves are lined with classic, exotic and hard-to-find sodas. With their motto being “Freedom of Choice,” Galco’s mission is to support small soda makers. They highly promote the right to choose from more than just a handful of mass-produced, big-business selections, and even though Galco’s only sells soda and candy now, it’s still devoted to supporting all types of small businesses. John Nese, who is the current owner of Galco’s, took over his father’s store in 1995 and still runs the business to this day.
